Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...

Home for the Weekend

It's a strange phenomena when you are away at college and suddenly you find yourself sitting in your house in your room at 2:30 in the morning writing a blog post. It feels out of place for me to be here. I feel like I need to be up in Flagstaff where it's cooler and doing my homework for the weekend. It's wonderful to be down here, but strange all the same. So the reason I came down this weekend is because my high school choir is having their first concert and I am attending it. It's called Dinner Theater and its theme is Broadway, which is wonderful 8] I went to buy my ticket today and it was very weird to be standing on a school campus that wasn't huge. Well, NAU isn't that huge, but I mean my high school was very small in comparison. It felt weird to wander the cafeteria and the choir room/hallway. Being at the school in general was very strange and kind of awkward. I saw a lot of people I know, but that I never talk to. Some people, I'm assuming they...

College Life

Aww yeee. Livin' it up, yo. I'm kidding. Let's be honest here, I do nothing almost all the time. I don't go to parties, I'm not a person who goes out much, and overall I'm not interested in that kind of life. I like my sitting on the computer or playing video games all day. It suits me because I don't want to cause trouble and I don't want to get pushed into something I don't want to do. It's the perfect life. 8] My classes are pretty cool. I go to Northern Arizona University and am planning on getting a degree in Electronic Media and Film (EMF), which is going to be awesome. Right now my classes are pretty blah because it's my first semester at college. Even still, it's been a pretty good first week. I have a math class, an English class, and EMF class, a communications class, and a freshman seminar class. They're all pretty awesome, but the best class at the moment is definitely my seminar class because it's called Reinventi...

Gotta Love This Day 8]

I love the Fourth of July for a few reasons. It's a day where I get to hang out with close family friends that I don't get to see often and a day where my family is at it's most chill. When I was younger we used to go on trips around the States and on the fourth we were always either in Kansas with family, Montana in West Yellowstone, or a small town in Utah called Panguitch. For the longest time we were in Kansas every year but then one year we spent the fourth in West Yellowstone and got to participate in a parade. It was awesome because my dad loves the fourth so he (used to) dress up as Uncle Sam. A very casual, awesome Uncle Sam. He had shorts, converse, a shirt, and hat that were all flagged up and he would shave his face so he only had an Uncle Sam beard going on. I would participate in these events as well, but as Aunt Sam. I wore a white skirt, red converse, a festive shirt, a top hat like my dad's and, the best part of my outfit, a beard. They were truly gre...

Procrastination Queen

That's my full time job. I am really good at procrastinating. Like, I've been cleaning my room for the past two days but not really because I'll start cleaning and then get distracted. Like, a while I ago I started watching through Jenna Marble's videos and got about halfway through before clicking away so yesterday I decided to pick up from where I left off. I have spent from that moment on catching up on her videos and I just finished. I should also include that I've spent a lot of time on Tumblr and such and using my new microphone I got at VidCon to record stuff for YouTube. It's awesome. As soon as I'm done writing this blog post, though, I'm going to finish cleaning. Anyway, as I stated above I went to VidCon. On the 26th of June my friend Kaitlin and I drove up to my aunt's house to stay with her until the 1st of July. She lives roughly 15 minutes away from the convention center so it wasn't a long or difficult trip to make those two day...

Goodness Gracious I Did Not Realize

This month I have so much to do. Especially here at the end. On Sunday I'm going to my friends house and then we're heading up to Flagstaff to go to college orientation which ends on the 19th. Then on the 26th I'll be heading back to California until the 1st of July for some visiting with my aunt and cousins and then VidCon. It's gonna be awesome 8] I'm super excited but for now I'm going to be taking the breaks I receive because on the days that I'm not gone I'm most likely going to be working. Le sigh, I guess I have to make money somewhere. Well, until I actually have to do something... TO YOUTUBE!
