Kansas Was A Blast

I tried to put up a post from my phone but all it really did was send it to here as multiple posts. SIGH.

Anyway, Kansas was awesome and I wish I could have spent more time there. So much fun, too little time to spend with people. So on the way up to Kansas my dad and I were supposed to alternate driving but he refused to let me drive and I got mad but held my silence. While in Kansas my Aunt Shirley got mad at my dad for never teaching me how to cook and then demanded he teach me. Since we got back I have cooked a meal and a quarter... ish. The second meal I tried to cook ended up like all the previous times I'd tried cooking. I started off and he found one tiny thing wrong with it and so he took over and basically butted me out of the kitchen. While in Kansas I got to see one of the friends I met on YouTube and it was awesome. My Aunt Shirley got a dog that was very adorable and cute. Then, after all the packed days, we started on our way home. Of the 24+ hours that it took us to get back home my dad only let me drive two and a half of them. I got mad and told him that he was being stubborn and he got mad and threw a piss fit. Good times, good times... Also, a few minutes after I got home my mom got mad at my for drawing in the dust on her car and she started picking a fight with me and just pissed me off. Kansas was better than home... except for the part where there's a computer here. Yeah, the computer is the best.

The day after I got home from Kansas I went to my uncles house to spend a few days with him and my cousin. They have an adorable blood hound and I love him. We spent the five days playing facebook games (well, my uncle and I did), my cousin played WoW and LOTRO and bunches of other MMORPGs. I also played on the xBox 360 a shit ton. It was a good time. Every night we swam with Clancy, the dog, and he would almost drown us because he wanted to love on us. Ahhhh, good times.

After that I really haven't done much... I went and visited a friend who is house sitting for an old teacher of ours while the teacher and her husband take their newborn to Michigan to see family... Tomorrow, even though it's not the fourth of July, Wickenburg is having fireworks so we're going to see that... Then on the actual holiday I'm going to my friends house for a party with her family 8D It'll be loads of fun. I love the fourth because my dad dresses up as Uncle Sam and shaves to where he has the same arrangement of facial hair. It's pretty awesome...

After that I've got an amazing friend flying out from San Leandro and she'll be here for a week and the MOST AMAZING MOVIE PREMIERE EVEFR! I'm so excited and so sad for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow Part Two... the movies and the books are over but I'm so glad that the internet has helped build a community to keep Harry living on. Sigh... 8]

I'm Harry Freaking Potter! 8D Sam.

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...

College Life

Aww yeee. Livin' it up, yo. I'm kidding. Let's be honest here, I do nothing almost all the time. I don't go to parties, I'm not a person who goes out much, and overall I'm not interested in that kind of life. I like my sitting on the computer or playing video games all day. It suits me because I don't want to cause trouble and I don't want to get pushed into something I don't want to do. It's the perfect life. 8] My classes are pretty cool. I go to Northern Arizona University and am planning on getting a degree in Electronic Media and Film (EMF), which is going to be awesome. Right now my classes are pretty blah because it's my first semester at college. Even still, it's been a pretty good first week. I have a math class, an English class, and EMF class, a communications class, and a freshman seminar class. They're all pretty awesome, but the best class at the moment is definitely my seminar class because it's called Reinventi...

Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...
