I'm Writing This Instead Of My English Essay That's Due Tomorrow

Procrastination runs in my blood and it's how I get my best papers done. I like to put it off (even if the teacher gave us the assignment a week ago and extended it to where it was due tomorrow instead of today and I still haven't started it. I find it hard to write passionately on things that I don't feel I should have feelings on. I don't know how to feel about the assignment because we are dissecting the characters instincts. It's a brilliantly planned assignment in which we read Lorraine Hansberry's play A Raisin in the Sun and write about their instincts using the Kolbe Index. Like Walter Lee is a quick start because he does things whithout thinking or making sure it's secure. He gave his son fifty cents for school and then gave him another fifty cents to show his wife that it wasn't okay for her to tell their son they don't have money. He then needed the extra money he had given to his son to get to work. He gave his son money without thinking. Another example is Beneatha, Walter's sister, and she's an implementor. She likes to do stuff not just imagine. She likes to learn guitar and do hands on activities. There are two other main things in the Kolbe that are fascinating and they are Fact Finders who need information before they can do stuff. Then there are Follow Throughs and those people need structure. Then there's someone who has a Kolbe like me where you don't hit high marks in any of those and you're just kinda in the middle of all. Those are the rare people.

Do you see why I find it hard to write a paper on this? Being a middle person makes it hard for me to make decisions about others and actually choose things. I am already a very indecisive person and so the fact that I not only have to decide which characters I am going to write the paper on but the fact that I have to dissect their instincts and analyze them is making my brain hurt. SIGH. I'll just have to deal.

ANYWAY! Away from business stuffs and I'll move on to what I have been doing. Over the past Veteran's Day and the long weekend I went out to California to see my friend Megan who had moved away during the summer. I have fallen shockingly behind in NaNoWriMo but I plan on catching up real soon. Other than that not much else has happened...

That's all for now! Sam.

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...

College Life

Aww yeee. Livin' it up, yo. I'm kidding. Let's be honest here, I do nothing almost all the time. I don't go to parties, I'm not a person who goes out much, and overall I'm not interested in that kind of life. I like my sitting on the computer or playing video games all day. It suits me because I don't want to cause trouble and I don't want to get pushed into something I don't want to do. It's the perfect life. 8] My classes are pretty cool. I go to Northern Arizona University and am planning on getting a degree in Electronic Media and Film (EMF), which is going to be awesome. Right now my classes are pretty blah because it's my first semester at college. Even still, it's been a pretty good first week. I have a math class, an English class, and EMF class, a communications class, and a freshman seminar class. They're all pretty awesome, but the best class at the moment is definitely my seminar class because it's called Reinventi...

Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...
