Books Are Amazing

And if you deny it, I'll pwn you in the face with a monkey.

I read a lot of books (a lot by my standard) and lately, the rate at which I read books has gone from fast to a trickle. I have been reading the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy for about three months now. It's a good book and it's only 287 pages long, but I just can't read. I have the time to read, but I spend it on the computer. It seems as if lately the internet has controlled my life so much that I can't find the time to do things that I actually want to do. I haven't drawn anything good in a really long time. I haven't played any video games or read any books or done anything that didn't involve the internet for a very long time.

So I've been thinking, once I finish this semester of school, I am going to finish reading The Road and then once that is done I will go on the computer and do internet stuff. If I can stand being off the internet for as long as it takes me. After I read the book, I am going to find a book that my friends recommend (I can tell you right now it's going to be the Hunger Games [that's how far behind on reading I am]) and read it to see if it sparks up my interest in reading again. Hopefully it will.

For now, I will continue to waste my time on the internet until my heart is content and then waste more time.

That's how I roll. Sam.

Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...

Junior Year Comes to a Close

As I said farewell to the seniors from my high school today, I realized that I only have one year left of the hell hole of high school. I love my friends and my classes are pretty cool, but the thing that makes it a hell hole are my parents and few classes and people that go to my school. I'm so glad that my year is closing. I only have three more days of class and two of them are half days. One of my earlier posts had something about where my cousin was killed by a police man, well his funeral is going to be sometime between Wednesday and Sunday and I'm nervous and sad. I'm also angry at my father because when he cry's he isn't a man about it. He starts to cry and he puts on his sun glasses and tries to act as if nothing is wrong. Well, dad, it's really weird to put your sunglasses on after you just took them off because you are definitely inside. So why don't you grow a pair and take them off because you just look like a pussy wearing them. Show your tears...

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...
