Dogs and Workin'

So when we took my dog to the vet the vet said she could have something inflamed in her wristy wrist area or she might possibly have Valley Fever. The good news is that while we were at the vet she did some blood tests and we got them back yesterday and she DOESN'T have Valley Fever. The vet also gave us anti-inflammatory medicine for her and it has helped her and she isn't limping as much. I'm really glad that my dog is okay and that I didn't burn her paws on anything.

As for work I guess you could say I have a job? It's working for my school and I can only do it this weekend, but it is still a job. I am running the sound equipment for a dance studio that is renting out my school's auditorium and hiring four people to work it. Two students and two teachers. The students are me and my friend John. John is running the light equipment which is intense because he has to do so much stuff. The teachers are the choir teacher, which is one of my teachers, and the culinary teacher, who I also know pretty well. The culinary teacher was in 1776 and Urinetown. I get paid $8/hour and yesterday I worked for 14 or so hours. It was a long day but I really didn't do much. Today I have to get to school at 5:30 and the show starts at 6:30. I'm not quite sure how LONG the show will run, but I know I will be there a few hours today. I also work tomorrow and they have two shows tomorrow, one of them is at 1:30 and the other is at 6:30. I will be making bank this weekend 8D

Savin' for a road trip. Sam.

Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...

Junior Year Comes to a Close

As I said farewell to the seniors from my high school today, I realized that I only have one year left of the hell hole of high school. I love my friends and my classes are pretty cool, but the thing that makes it a hell hole are my parents and few classes and people that go to my school. I'm so glad that my year is closing. I only have three more days of class and two of them are half days. One of my earlier posts had something about where my cousin was killed by a police man, well his funeral is going to be sometime between Wednesday and Sunday and I'm nervous and sad. I'm also angry at my father because when he cry's he isn't a man about it. He starts to cry and he puts on his sun glasses and tries to act as if nothing is wrong. Well, dad, it's really weird to put your sunglasses on after you just took them off because you are definitely inside. So why don't you grow a pair and take them off because you just look like a pussy wearing them. Show your tears...

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...
