Kansas

So I will be leaving for Kansas in a few days with my dad and my grandpa. We are going to alternate driving which is going to be really interesting. I have yet to pack but I probably should. Today my mom and I tried to deposit the check I got for working but banks are stupid and make me want to punch infants. Anyway, we were going to deposit the check so I could get a sketch book for the road trip and a present for my friend who is having her birthday party tomorrow. The bank decided to be a hoe on a stick and so we couldn't get the money. My mom paid for my friends gift and I am going to have to buy the sketch book before I leave. We then went to Kohl's to go shopping but sadly that store doesn't like short or fat people because I couldn't find my size in pants in anything besides average length. Sigh, if only I were thinner... and taller. I think that all stores assume that people are of average height or taller because I only found a few sizes of ANY pants that were short. Silly silly stores being hoes on sticks. Anyway, we're going to go to Target before I leave so I can get some new jeans, a t-shirt, and some undies! I love underwear... a lot. I'm just a weird person.

Anyway, my friend who I mentioned earlier is having her birthday party tomorrow. It's going to be just the two of us at her mom's hotel. I have to meet her there at about one in the afternoon and we're leaving the next morning at eight thirty or so. It's going to be awesome. She made getting her gift easy because she just told me what she wanted. She wanted a penguin or a panda pillow pet but I couldn't find those and so I called her and asked her what kind she wanted from what the store had and she chose frog. 8D

Anyhoo, I'm super excited for the rest of this month because after my two weeks in Kansas I am going to spend a week at my uncles and he is freaking amazing.

Ahhh, summer. Sam.

Life

Life is life is life, my friends. School is time consuming, looking for a job sucks, and getting horrible grades on tests that are for classes in your major is heart crushing. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoy the class. I realize that I need to study more and actually pay attention and care for what I'm doing in my classes. You learn a lot of life lessons in college and it is definitely a place where things come raining down on you. You have to be fast and able to deal with the shit that falls from the sky. It's hard, but if you try you can do it. I need to get my shit together, buckle down, and try as hard as I can to do what needs to be done. As of now, this includes studying for classes, paying attention in said classes, knit like my heart depends on it, search for jobs, apply for scholarships, and work out. It's so strange how it feels like things can pile up when, in reality, you can take a step back and a deep breath and realize that there are many small step...

College Life

Aww yeee. Livin' it up, yo. I'm kidding. Let's be honest here, I do nothing almost all the time. I don't go to parties, I'm not a person who goes out much, and overall I'm not interested in that kind of life. I like my sitting on the computer or playing video games all day. It suits me because I don't want to cause trouble and I don't want to get pushed into something I don't want to do. It's the perfect life. 8] My classes are pretty cool. I go to Northern Arizona University and am planning on getting a degree in Electronic Media and Film (EMF), which is going to be awesome. Right now my classes are pretty blah because it's my first semester at college. Even still, it's been a pretty good first week. I have a math class, an English class, and EMF class, a communications class, and a freshman seminar class. They're all pretty awesome, but the best class at the moment is definitely my seminar class because it's called Reinventi...

Long Time, No Update

Hello my  lovelies, I realize that it's been a few months shy of a year since I last updated and I'm not sure why that is. All I can assume for the last blog posted onto the sight is that school got busy and I forgot that I had a blog. I keep a link to my page up near my tabs so I'm not sure how I forgot that this existed, but it happened and it's over. If I remember, and I hope I do, I will continue to update this blog with posts about my life and what's going on. I have a few other blogs of varying degrees talking about other things such as college in and of itself, movies, and knitting. All of which I have not updated either. I think the website/profile thing I've updated most since February would be Twitter so I'd go ahead and follow me on that if you really want to keep track of me. I don't have much else to say except for the fact that it's nearing Christmas and I am beyond excited about that! Maybe I'll update on Christmas about what I got...
